| Biography |

I have taught graphic design at the college level for 23 years and I am in my fourth year at Indian River State College. I earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Fine Art from West Virginia University and a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Miami.
In my teaching career I have taught some of the most talented designers in this country including Dana Arnett, Mike McMillan, John Vieceli, Scott Johnson, Karen O'Connor, Martha Perez, Tara Devlin, Al Grivetti and Marjorie Shropshire.
Over the past two decades I have worked as an art director and consultant for the Big Ten Conference, Midwestern Collegiate Conference, Mid-Continent Conference, Mid-American Conference, Golden Bear International, Exclusive Sports Marketing, Physician Corporation of America, Navy UDT-Seal Museum, United Way and the Sunrise Theatre. I have designed over 50 PGA Tour tournament magazines and won numerous awards for publications and identity systems in sports marketing.
My teaching experience includes 13 years at Northern Illinois University as an associate professor, as well as West Virginia University, the University of Miami and Palm Beach State College. From 2005-2007 I managed the Dario Gallery at Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, Florida which featured regional artists, photographers and designers, as well as an annual national painting, drawing and printmaking competition. The Dario Gallery collection includes lithographs by pre-eminent Russian artists from the last quarter of the 20th century. In the collection are works by Wassily Kandinsky, Mihail Chemiakin, Shimon Okshteyn and Alexandre Zlotnik.
I have two children, Brooke, a pharmaceutical rep for Aventis in Chicago, Illinois, graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in Communications and David who graduated from Northern Illinois University majoring in Health and Physical Education.
